Martha Evenson
Martha completed the Jivamukti instructor certification in 2007. She also completed her 800 hour certification, having apprenticed with Julie Kirkpatrick at Jivamukti Yoga in New York City.
A classically trained ballerina, Martha has taught fitness and wellness activities for many years before becoming a Jivamukti instructor.
She loves nature, animals and children.
Martha is grateful to everyone at Jivamukti and especially to founders David Life and Sharon Gannon for the opportunity to share the inspiration, teachings and joy of practicing and instructing yoga and studying yogic philosophy.
Martha credits the wonderful influence and gifts of Julie Kirkpatrick, Ruth Lauer-Manenti, Yogeswari, and Rima Rabbath, and thanks them and all the other wonderful teachers and staff of Jivamukti for their kindness, teachings and support.
Dan Hoffman
Dan Hoffman received his first yoga teaching certification in 1997 from Urban Yoga. He has practiced Jivamukti yoga for over 10 years and has studied with Senior Jivamukti teachers Yogeswari and Rima Rabbath, as well as having completed retreats with many leading teachers, including Schuyler Grant, Kelly Morris, Erika Halweil, and Jessica Bellofato. Dan's extensive background in the practice of many styles of yoga is reflected in his challenging yet light-hearted approach to teaching.
Prior to becoming immersed in yoga, Dan taught various fitness and aerobic classes.
Dan is a former collegiate lacrosse player and a marathon runner and triathlete who also blends his yoga practice with many other sports and activities including tennis, surfing, and weight training. He also is a senior executive in the music industry and enjoys using creative and non-traditional music as part of the yoga practice.
